Advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and data analytics are changing manufacturing. These tools are improving office productivity, inventory, supply chain management, and plant operations. Through the virtues of cost management, productivity enhancements, and logistical advances, these technologies are helping managers and workers increase performance and deal with complicated logistics outside the organization.

On July 15, as part of the thirteenth annual John Hazen White Forum on Public Policy, Governance Studies at Brookings hosted a two-panel discussion about the organizational, policy, and geopolitical aspects of manufacturing and ways to integrate technology into operations and management.

Viewers submitted questions for speakers by emailing [email protected] or via Twitter at @BrookingsGov by using #TechAndManufacturing.
